All right, so that subject line might sound a little geeky, and overwhelming, but keep reading because this is good stuff. 

Let’s start by talking a bit about retargeting.

You know what that is right? 

When someone hits your website or becomes a lead, then you have ads follow them all around the web (and other channels) to remind them about your business and have them come back… 

Like when that pair of shoes you were looking at on Amazon seems to stalk you all over the place till you finally buy them. 

That’s retargeting.

Dynamic Retargeting is where you make your retargeting ads feel more personal, by including attributes related to them, or the actions they last took on your site. 

Specifically what we’re talking about today, is the idea that you can:

  • Automatically find the mailing address of someone anonymously searching properties on your real estate website
  • Send them a postcard in the mail. 
  • Branded to you. 
  • With a link back to the last property they were looking at on your site.

In the example above, 2 QR codes are being employed. 

The one on the front side takes the recipient back to the last property they were looking at. 

The one on the back side takes the recipient to the agent’s Home Valuation page on your website. 

Whenever a scan occurs, the agent is notified in real time, and can also set up “zaps” that trigger other actions in your CRM. 

But the most important element of this postcard are: 

  • The agent’s branding (building “top of mind” status) 
  • The handwriting on the card (at a glance it feels personal) 
  • The fact that the postcard is tangible, and can be touched in the real world. 

If you’ve studied NLP at all and understand the value of crossing “modalities” then the “reason why” you should be doing this is probably becoming pretty clear.
