A few years ago, I developed a technique while I was consulting with Facebook. The basics of it lie in interacting with your social media feed. The Like, Comment, Message strategy is a well-known social media strategy that has helped many businesses grow and succeed in the digital world. This strategy involves actively engaging with followers on social media by liking, commenting, and messaging them.

Yes, it’s that easy, and I created it with the idea that you should be doing it every day for 20 minutes a day.

The key to a long lasting business comes down to relationships, and social media is no different. The strategy is an effective way to build a strong relationship with followers and potential customers. By engaging with them, you can build trust and credibility, which can ultimately lead to more sales and revenue.

So how exactly does this strategy work? I call this LCM; let's break it down.

Like: The first step in the Like, Comment, Message strategy is to like your followers' posts. This shows that you are paying attention to their content and are interested in what they have to say. By liking their posts, you can also increase the visibility of your brand on social media. As you scroll through the feed on Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn, be sure to like each post. The problem with this step is that most people just stop here. I want you to do the next step…Comment.

Comment: The second step is to comment on your followers' posts. This takes engagement to the next level and can help start a conversation with your followers. By commenting on their posts, you can show that you care and build a connection with those that you follow, who will follow you back. It’s psychological; when you do exactly what social media was designed to do, you grow. Social media can also provide a sense of community and connection with others. When used in moderation and with mindfulness, social media can have positive psychological effects, such as improved mood and a sense of belonging. It's essential to be aware of the psychological impact of social media and use it in a healthy and balanced way. By being aware of this, you can use it to connect with others and have relationships that grow.

Message: The final step in the Like, Comment, Message strategy is to message your followers. This is a more direct way of engaging with them and can help establish a stronger relationship. By massaging your followers, you can offer them personalized advice, answer any questions they may have, and ultimately drive more sales. Most of the people you message through Messenger will write you back because they are actively on it. This one step has been the secret to our growth on social media and our secret to getting business from our online friends. When you message someone, they not only feel like you actually care; they will usually also check your profile out. They will go to your personal feed and see what you are up to. That action will notify the algorithm, which will cause your feed to show up on their social media for the next few hours.

We’re always refining this and doing our best to make things better. Let us know if you try this, and if you do, let me know how it’s working for you.
